Data Science Intern

Job Summary

This is a remote internship role for a Data Science Intern. Cheshire TechCorp. is looking for highly talented and driven people who are enthusiastic about data science and keen to learn new skills. During your internship, you will collaborate closely with our mentoring team and industry partners to obtain practical experience in the data science industry. The Data Science Intern will also be expected to communicate findings effectively to the team and integrate feedback to improve the analysis and final product quality.

  • Time series analysis
  • Recommender system
  • Chatbots
  • Image/Audio video classification
  • Text analysis

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of large data sets
  • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and visualization tasks using programming languages (like Python or R)
  • Help develop predictive models and algorithms using machine-learning techniques
  • Help build custom dashboards to communicate findings effectively
  • Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and evaluate experiments
  • Participate in team meetings and provide progress reports on assigned tasks
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices in data science
  • Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project timelines

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree (Bachelor's / Master's / Ph.D.) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with the team
  • Knowledge of Data Science concepts and theory
  • Proficient in Python or R
